DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES AND GROUNDS

THIS POSITION HEADQUARTERS IS LOCATED IN DORCHESTER, SC.

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Grounds, the Deputy Director will be responsible for the oversight of the operation of the day-to-day functions of the Dorchester County Facilities Department to include supervising the Landscape Manager and Buildings Manager.

Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in building trade(s), facility maintenance, building construction or a closely related field.
Requires at least four (4) years of related work experience.
Managerial experience in the facilities field preferred.

Special Qualifications:
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Certification for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) or electrical maintenance and repair
preferred.

This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but employees must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Employees must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays during emergencies or as requested. This is a safety sensitive position and employees holding this position have the responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. This position is subject to random drug testing.
