Job Description
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Level II technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Level II technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal customers in a fast paced, demanding environment. The ideal candidate must have experience in support ticketing systems and possess strong technical skills in desktop support in a mixed OS environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Maintain inventory of workstation hardware and software.
- Maintain and update desktop operating systems and software
- Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve issues and implement solutions
- Assist with the maintenance and administration of the desktop environment
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to end-users
- Provide training to employees on new desktop software and hardware.
- Maintain documentation of desktop hardware, software, and network configurations.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience in desktop support
- Experience with support ticketing systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills:
- Experience with RedHat Linux
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, DOS, PowerShell, Perl, and Python
- Familiarity with unattended installers and OS system imaging
- CompTIA Certifications including A+, Security+, Linux+
- Experience with Remote Support Tools ( Remote Assistance, Bomgar )
Additional Information
Compensation: Base pay range is $25-32/hour depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
