Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users, ensuring that all computer hardware, software, and networking systems operate efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues promptly.
Duties
- Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues via help desk tickets, phone calls, or in-person requests.
- Analyze and troubleshoot computer networking problems, including DNS, VPN, TCP, and TCP/IP configurations.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems.
- Assist users with connectivity issues on LAN and ensure reliable network access.
- Document all support interactions in the Remedy ticketing system for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex technical issues as needed.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on new technologies and software applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a desktop support or help desk role, with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as DNS, VPN, TCP, TCP/IP, and LAN configurations.
- Proficient in using help desk ticketing systems like Remedy for issue tracking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with users at all levels of technical proficiency.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus but not required.

Pay: $23.89 - $26.00 per hour
