Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for deployment and testing workflows.
  • Managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using provisioning and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, software developers, and system administrators to streamline software delivery.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud and on-premise infrastructure performance and system availability.
  • Automating system baselines, system patching schedules, and central repository management controls.
  • Maintaining technical baseline configurations, configuration management items, and comprehensive engineering documentation.

Minimum

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
    • OR a master’s degree OR PhD and 1+ or more years of relevant experience
    • OR an associate’s degree and 5+ or more years of relevant experience
    • OR a high school diploma and 7+ or more years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience building, maintaining, and automating continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes). Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and infrastructure configurations.

Preferred

Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or Docker Certified Associate.
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise technical environments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automated vulnerability scanning, and DoD STIG compliance automation.
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must hold a current/active secret security clearance.

Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
