The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) is a hands-on, experiential learning museum in the heart of downtown Syracuse. It features 35,000 square feet of exhibits, including a state-of-the-art domed theatre, and supports programming and outreach seven days a week.
The position supports the design, production, installation, and maintenance of digital educational content and audio-video/electrical displays that serve the MOST’s mission of informal, hands-on STEM learning. This position is ideal for a passionate, creative problem-solver with a strong technical background and an eye for storytelling through technology and digital media.

Job Functions
Support the design, production, installation, and maintenance of digital educational content and audio-video/electrical displays in exhibitions, including but not limited to:
- Educational slides/short videos
- Animations
- Planetarium shows
- Touchscreen interactives
- Video screens/projections and video players
- Electrical interactive displays
- 3D printing
Assist with the coordination and delivery of educational programs involving digital content/electrical components, e.g., planetarium programming, Robotics Challenge, Circuits & Chips Workshop, etc.
Assist with museum special events and projects as assigned
Skills Required
- Familiarity with audio-visual/electrical tools and technologies (e.g. media players, cables, displays, multimeters, wire strippers, basic circuitry, screens/projections, etc.)
- Experience using digital media production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, OBS)
- Familiarity or interest in 3D modeling and design tools (e.g., Blender, TinkerCAD, etc.)
- Detail-oriented and proactive mindset
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with an iterative approach to design and troubleshooting
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication
- Collaborative mindset that enables cross-departmental coordination between designers, curators, technicians, educators, and fabricators.
- Motivated by community-focused, mission-driven work
- Experience in the development and production of planetarium content a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
