Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide personal care, ADLs, and Home Support to clients . The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. This role requires a strong experience in delivering high-quality care in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Provide behavior management support to help clients cope with challenges and improve their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support memory care activities for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Engage clients in recreational activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to ensure the comfort and safety of clients. Experience with Hoyer Lift transfer is prefered.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with care plans is highly desirable.
- Experience working with older adults and elderly is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in the home.
