We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Direct Support Personnel (DSP) to join our team at Meaningful Life Behavioral Health. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with behavioral health, developmental disabilities in a residential group home environment. You will provide direct care, promote independence, and ensure a safe and therapeutic setting for our clients.

Meaningful Life Behavioral Health was created to provide home and community-based services for people with developmental disabilities in Kingman AZ, and the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Meaningful Life Behavioral Health currently offers Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) of Respite (RSP), Attendant Care (ATC), Day Treatment and Training – Adult (DTA), Transportation (TRA), Habilitation Hourly (HAH), Habilitation-Group Home (HAB) and Room and Board Group Home (RRB) to consumers who are eligible for services through the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DES/DDD). Meaningful Life Behavioral Health will be expanding the services offered in the near future. Key Responsibilities:
Direct Care & Supervision:
Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, meals, and medication reminders while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Behavioral Support & De-escalation:
Implement individualized behavior support plans, use positive reinforcement techniques, and assist with crisis intervention or de-escalation when necessary.
Skill Development & Empowerment:
Encourage and assist clients in building life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, communication, and social interaction to promote greater independence.
Documentation & Compliance:
Accurately document daily activities, behavioral incidents, progress notes, and medication logs in compliance with state and agency guidelines.
Transportation & Community Integration:
Accompany or transport residents to appointments, work programs, or recreational outings, helping to foster community inclusion and engagement.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with clinical staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure coordinated care and consistent implementation of treatment plans.
Maintain a Therapeutic Environment:
Create a supportive, structured, and emotionally safe living space that aligns with the behavioral health goals and needs of the individuals we serve.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or direct care (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Prevention & Support (or willingness to obtain)
- Article 9 (or willingness to obtain)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Abuse & Neglect (or willingness to obtain)
- DDD Knowledge (Is a plus) Needing Bilingual Speaking Staff (Navajo, Spanish, ASL)
Salary
$16 - $16.8 per hour
