Position Overview:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting adults ages 18 and older in their daily lives. You will assist with personal care, skill development, community engagement, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. This is an 2nd shift Full-Time Position. This position is split between two programs in Blairsville, PA & Greensburg, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
- Support individuals in developing independent living skills and participating in community activities.
- Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and incidents in accordance with program guidelines.
- Administer medications and follow prescribed healthcare plans.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals in care.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families/guardians.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in human services, caregiving, or a related field preferred (paid training provided for qualified candidates).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass background checks and any required clearances.
