Summary
As a Direct Support Professional at Golden Heart Caregivers, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate care, assistance with daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Assist clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in caregiving preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients on a personal level.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients as necessary.
