The Drug Diversion Prevention team at Lifepoint Health supports safe medication practices, ensures enterprise-wide compliance, and leads key diversion investigations and training initiatives. We promote a collaborative and mission-driven work culture with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and process improvement.
The Director is focused on development and memorialization of drug diversion related training and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with DEA requirements for Lifepoint facilities. The position will be cross trained with the Drug Diversion Prevention team including but not limited to: drug diversion investigations, drug diversion prevention, detection, training, and enterprise compliance for the drug diversion program. This position may include collaboration or oversight of other pharmacy quality and safety programs, including but not limited to support of clinical pharmacy, clinical surveillance tools, medication-related automation, and data analytics.
This position will report to the Vice President, Drug Diversion Prevention to ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, accreditation, and licensing entities for pharmacy services, initiatives, and programs across the enterprise.
How you'll contribute
A Drug Diversion Prevention Specialist, Director of Regulatory Compliance, Training, and Drug Diversion Detection who excels in this role:
Leads the development of training and ensures DEA regulatory compliance across all Lifepoint facilities
Collaborates in drug diversion investigations, prevention and detection initiatives, and systemwide compliance
Serves as a resource for clinical pharmacy programs, surveillance tools, medication-related automation, and analytics
Analyzes diversion data for trends and improvement opportunities
Conducts facility compliance reviews and participates in mock inspections
Identifies high-risk facilities and implements corrective action plans
Ensures adherence to Lifepoint's Drug Diversion Prevention Program
Maintains comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements including DEA policy
Regular and reliable attendance
Performs other duties as assigned

What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in drug-related investigations (DEA, law enforcement, and/or healthcare preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to address complex and sensitive topics with management
- Intermediate technical computer skills and experience with data analysis
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple programs concurrently
