Job Title: Director, Engine Product Line
Location: Arlington, TX; Sebastian, FL
Job Summary: The Director of Engine Product Line is responsible for managing commercial operations related to engine material. This includes leadership of the Engine Product Line team and all facets of engine teardowns, repairs, and asset management.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct the engine product line team to achieve revenue targets and provide guidance to the Business Development team for strategic campaigns.
- Develop and implement pricing models for engine components, coordinating with Sales and Business Development teams to optimize profitability and revenue rate of return.
- Collaborate across TrueAero departments to develop new sales programs for revenue enhancement.
- Identify sales and purchasing opportunities and provide reports to senior management.
- Recruit and train staff to align with company growth and commercial objectives.
- Oversee the financial health of the Engine Material Group, to include budgeting and detailed reviews, and provide input to the Airframe inventory valuation process.
- Establish suitable inventory levels for inventory by engine product line and set strategies to optimize the performance of repaired or purchased material.
- Establish and maintain agreements with repair vendors, including volume-based pricing negotiations.
- Support asset valuation processes and repair decisions, while ensuring efficient logistical operations.
- Engage in leading the purchasing of engine components for inventory needs, including engine assets, packages, or individual components.
- Undertake other responsibilities as directed by management to meet organizational goals.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, Aviation, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in an aviation-related role (i.e., product line, purchasing, sales, technical project management, or asset operations).
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and procuring aviation inventory, including the ability to identify, propose, and negotiate purchase opportunities.
- Experience managing teardown processes and overseeing whole engine or aircraft asset acquisitions.
- Strong background in domestic aviation engine and aircraft operations, including market dynamics and lifecycle optimization.
- Proven analytical capabilities with a focus on financial impact, ROI, and decision-making in purchasing and teardown planning.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience, with a focus on Sales, Technical Operations, and Logistics teams.
Knowledge, Behavior, and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of commercial aviation engine markets, teardown logistics, and material resale valuation.
- Strong communication, consultation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to navigate complex negotiations with external suppliers, repair vendors, and global partners.
- Strategic mindset with a strong grasp of product line profitability, pricing models, and material lifecycle management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style that fosters cross-functional alignment.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and shifting priorities in a high-velocity, operational environment.
- Adept at balancing operational execution with long-term strategic planning and team development.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when presenting financial or technical data to senior leadership.
