IPS - Rubbercraft is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead core HR functions in our aerospace manufacturing organization. This individual will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, employee development, and operational excellence. The role partners closely with senior leaders to align HR strategy with business objectives and supports workforce capability through robust development and succession planning programs. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred to support our diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with company goals and lean manufacturing principles.
- Serve as a business partner to leadership teams, integrating HR solutions that drive operational efficiency and employee performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and adaptability across the organization.
Employee Development & Succession Planning
- Design and implement structured development plans, training programs, and learning paths for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Partner with leaders to build a talent pipeline, support internal mobility, and prepare future leaders through succession planning.
- Support technical skills development and cross-training initiatives that increase workforce flexibility and readiness.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on career growth, performance conversations, and team development.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement through recognition, feedback loops, and internal communication strategies.
- Foster an inclusive and high-performing work environment, ensuring employees at all levels feel valued and supported.
- Develop programs that reinforce company values and support workforce stability and morale.
Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and aerospace-specific regulations (e.g., ITAR, FAA).
- Support internal audits, reporting, and regulatory filings as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee competitive and equitable compensation programs, including job evaluations, salary reviews, and incentive planning.
- Support annual performance review and merit cycle processes.
HR Operations & Analytics
- Use HR data to track trends, monitor key workforce metrics, and guide decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and efficient HR recordkeeping and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace or defense industry experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Proven experience leading employee development and succession planning efforts
- Demonstrated ability to support or lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives
- Strong knowledge of CA employment law, HR compliance, and HR operations
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills across all levels
- Proficient in HRIS platforms and workforce analytics
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification a plus
Work Environment:
- Onsite position within a fast-paced manufacturing facility
- Regular collaboration with production, engineering, and leadership teams
- Occasional travel may be required
