Summary of Position
The Director, International Digital Marketing serves as the primary liaison between Lionsgate's Digital Marketing team and international markets for priority theatrical releases. This role ensures global markets are aligned on campaign strategy, priorities, and execution, while driving collaboration between domestic and regional teams across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
Working closely with domestic campaign leads and international partners, the role communicates campaign objectives, shares audience insights and best practices, evaluates local opportunities, and helps ensure successful execution across territories. The position also develops scalable processes and tools that support collaboration and efficiency across the theatrical slate.
Responsibilities
- Lead international digital marketing strategy and coordination for assigned theatrical campaigns, ensuring alignment between domestic objectives and local execution.
- Partner with domestic and regional teams to communicate campaign strategy, audience insights, creative direction, social plans, creator initiatives, partnerships, and key milestones.
- Serve as the primary digital marketing contact for international markets, providing strategic guidance and fostering strong cross-functional relationships.
- Consolidate and communicate market feedback, opportunities, challenges, and requests to ensure alignment and information sharing across territories.
- Review and advise on local digital campaigns, social content, creative assets, and activations to support both strategic consistency and local relevance.
- Identify audience insights, cultural trends, creator opportunities, emerging platforms, and successful market initiatives to strengthen campaign performance.
- Coordinate campaign readiness, including asset needs, localization requirements, timelines, and execution risks.
- Develop scalable tools, templates, and communication frameworks that improve efficiency and support both priority and non-priority titles.
- Partner with International Marketing, Creative, Publicity, Media, Partnerships, Research, and other stakeholders to align digital efforts with broader business objectives.
- Advocate for market needs while balancing global consistency with local flexibility and continuous operational improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5-8+ years of experience in digital marketing, entertainment marketing, international marketing, or a related field.
- Experience supporting theatrical, streaming, television, entertainment, or major consumer brand campaigns preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital and social marketing, including content strategy, paid media, creators/influencers, partnerships, and emerging platforms.
- Experience working with international markets, regional teams, or global organizations preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex campaigns across multiple stakeholders, priorities, and timelines.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to evaluate creative and campaign work and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cultural awareness and interest in global audiences, entertainment, and digital trends.
- Experience creating scalable processes that improve collaboration, efficiency, and execution.
