The Director of Basketball Operations is a full-time administrative position within the Central Michigan University Men’s Basketball program. This role is responsible for managing the daily operations and logistical functions of the program to ensure efficiency and compliance with university, Mid-American Conference, and NCAA guidelines. The Director works closely with the head coach, assistant coaches, support staff, and athletic department personnel to coordinate team travel, practice schedules, game operations, budget tracking, and other on and off-court activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in college basketball, athletic operations, or coaching.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as needed.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinates team travel for all away trips.
Assists the head coach with budget management in relation to team travel and meals.
Schedules practices, meetings, and team activities in conjunction with athletics facilities staff.
Manages game day operations with athletics facilities staff to ensure all game day needs are in place for competition.
Provides administrative support and fulfills internal liaison duties with athletics department staff, campus partners, and community members.
Ensures NCAA compliance documentation related to time demands and recruiting is submitted and correct.
Provides video and analytics support as needed.
Assists the head coach and the Chippewa Athletic Fund staff with community and alumni engagement.
Leads the planning, scheduling, and execution of program camps and clinics in conjunction with the coaching staff and the Director of Player Development.
Engages in on and off campus recruiting of student athletes.
Assists in other areas as needed including being on-court as requested by the head coach.
Performs other duties as assigned by the head coach.
