Job Summary
The Director of Benefits at onsemi plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience by leading the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive benefits programs. This strategic position ensures that our offerings—from healthcare and retirement plans to wellness initiatives and employee assistance programs—are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and vendor management, along with a passion for enhancing employee well-being.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in employee benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).
- Proven success in managing complex benefits programs and vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in data reporting and trend analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in budget planning and cost forecasting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants.

- Oversee benefits enrollment processes for new hires and existing employees.
- Analyze benefits utilization and trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Recommend policy enhancements based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and executive leadership to align benefits strategy with business objectives.
- Lead wellness initiatives and employee engagement programs.
- Develop and distribute clear, engaging communication materials to educate employees on their benefits.
- Conduct employee surveys to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Handle escalated employee concerns and provide expert guidance.
- Participate in the design, renewal, and negotiation of benefits plans.
