Job Title: Director of Community Based Services/Programs
The Director of Community Based Services/Programs is responsible for programmatic oversight, community-based programming, consumer satisfaction surveys, employee cross-training, shift coverage (as needed), crisis response, assessments and evaluations of individuals and program participants, as well as other related community integration/administrative functions.

Job Title: Director of Community Based Services/Programs
The Director of Community Based Services/Programs is responsible for programmatic oversight, community-based programming, consumer satisfaction surveys, employee cross-training, shift coverage (as needed), crisis response, assessments and evaluations of individuals and program participants, as well as other related community integration/administrative functions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage community integration and coordinate Supported Employment options, assuring overall quality of services provided.
- Manage all aspects of compliance for community-based services
- Manage the work of the direct support specialists and job coaches to ensure good workflow and productivity
- Audit community services functions regularly
- Ensure program design is current and develop support plan objectives
- Implements community-based standards of excellence for clients in the residential program and day center
- Responsible for performance, training and development of all staff who work with individuals who receive community-based services
- Audits staff documentation for timeliness and accuracy
- Evaluates staff performance and takes corrective action
- Takes immediate corrective/disciplinary action if required to address any issues
- Addresses issues with staff on quality of documentation in coordination with Case Managers
- In coordination with residential scheduler, ensure proper staffing ratio is implemented based on the master schedule
- Manages emergency situations to provide for the safety of the persons supported
- Assists Case Managers, Support Coordinators, and staff in implementing persons supported activities of daily living, meeting the goals stated in the Individual Support Plan (ISP) to provide a meaningful day and records the progress
- Coordinates with Case Managers to approve scheduled activities for persons supported in advance; assesses and approves unscheduled activities as indicated
- Conducts unannounced community visits as required
- Abides by all policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines for safety, quality assurance and general corporate oversight
- Evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the individual persons supported
- Attend and contribute to internal weekly meetings, complete required staff trainings, and attend community meetings/events relevant to clients and their progress.
- Participate in ongoing staff development and maintain cooperative working relationships with all agency staff, and community partners.
- Act as Director of Older Adult Programming
- Review and perform annual and quarterly audits.
- Participate in Individual Support planning, Interdisciplinary Team meetings, and Individual Monitorings.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities for individuals and program participants
- Other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s in human services field or similar is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum four (4) years supervisory experience
- First Aid Certification required; Instructor level training preferred
