Hybrid Director/Lead Teacher
NEW Licensed Daycare Center - Exeter, NH
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced early childhood professional to serve as our founding Hybrid Director/Lead Teacher. This strategic role combines 80% hands-on teaching with 20% administrative responsibilities during operating hours. You'll be instrumental in building our team culture and operational foundation while maintaining strict child-staff ratios and licensing compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching (80% of role):
Lead daily activities for children ages 3 months to 5 years
Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in our flexible enrollment environment
Maintain classroom ratios and ensure child safety across varying daily attendance
Document and communicate child development progress
Startup Leadership (20% of role):
Establish operational procedures and team culture
Ratio Management: Monitor and adjust staffing based on daily enrollment fluctuations
Oversee: flexible booking system and ensure compliance with NH licensing requirements
Team Development: Foster our collaborative, supportive work environment
Create systems that support our small, tight-knit team approach
New Hampshire Licensing Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required)
•NH Early Childhood credentials or ability to obtain within 90 days
•Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
•Experience in licensed childcare settings
•Experience managing ratios in flexible/variable enrollment environments
•Clean background check and driving record
•Strong collaborative skills for small team environment

Details:
Operating Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-5:00pm
