Job Overview
As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for dogs in our care. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being of the dogs while engaging them in activities that promote socialization and exercise. This position requires a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds with care and confidence.
Duties
- Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Monitor the behavior of dogs and address any issues that may arise.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including cleaning up after the dogs and ensuring all areas are safe and sanitary.
- Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, and providing fresh water.
- Assist with dog training sessions as needed, reinforcing positive behaviors.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs.
- Provide basic animal restraint when necessary for grooming or medical purposes.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of animal care principles and practices.
- Experience in pet grooming is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for supplies or larger dogs.
- Proficient in animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both staff and pets.
- Familiarity with animal restraint methods to manage pets during grooming or veterinary visits.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial for enhancing the daycare experience.
- Experience in pet care or pet sitting is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
