Kavanation Botanical Beverage Group (KBBG) a leading beverage manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance.
You will be responsible for managing the financial health of KBBG. This role will oversee all accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, experience in the beverage or retail industry, and a passion for leading a team to success.
Duties include but not limited to:
Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure operational efficiency.
Strategic Oversight:
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
- Develop and monitor budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize operational expenses and profitability.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Lead the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes.
Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Implement accounting software and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments within KBBG.
- Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
Misc:
- Point of contact for communication between vendors and clients for accounting matters.
- Provide enhancements to current policies and procedures.
- Enterprise process management.
- Provide administrative support to management as requested. Maximize return on financial assets by establishing/improving financial procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the beverage, retail, or hospitality industry is a plus
- Computer literacy and quick adaption to learning new apps/programs
- High level of Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks online) and Excel/Sheets
