Position Overview: The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial operations of the company, ensuring financial stability, strategic planning, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial service operations and accounting processes, with a focus on maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. The Marina Controller reports to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities
· Provide financial modeling and analysis to support new acquisitions, capital investments, and strategic growth initiatives that support the company’s goals and objectives
· Lead the budgeting process, prepare forecasts and monitor financial performance against targets
· Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring timely, accurate monthly closes and consolidation
· Lead cash-flow management, treasury operations, and working capital optimization
· Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them to ensure protection against potential financial issues, through providing internal controls, audit readiness, and GAAP compliance
· Prepare and present consolidated financial statements, dashboards, and management reports with clear narratives and insights to the executive team and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
· Partner with Senior Leadership on business planning, KPI development, and performance optimization
· Monitor property-level and company-wide performance metrics; identify trends, risks, and opportunities
· Work with operations and property managers to ensure alignment between financial outcomes and operational goals.
· Maintain General Ledger
· Manage and develop the finance and accounting team, including external accounting resources and property-level accounting teams
· Collaborate with regional and marina-level leadership to drive financial literacy and accountability
· Coordinate with tax, legal, and banking partners to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
· Optimize and standardize financial systems and processes across the portfolio (e.g., Dockwa, Lightspeed, Quickbooks, etc)
· Lead integration of newly acquired properties into financial systems and reporting structures
· Drive automation, data integrity, and reporting efficiency through technology and process enhancements.
- Assist external auditors and CPAs, as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Offer. All candidates must be ready, willing, and able to work a fully flexible work schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the fluctuating demands.

Experience
- Eagerness to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading company.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks Application and Desktop required
- At minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, with proven success in a leadership role.
- A strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles and financial modeling

- Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting.
- Experience with ADP and Paycor desirable.
- Payroll experience desirable.
- Experience in multi-entity consolidation and reporting.
- Experience with mid-size company, multiple companies, and multistate operators.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel skills, including the ability to design, develop and utilize effective spreadsheets and financial models.
- Excellent accounting skills with high-level of accuracy.
