Job Summary:
The Financial Services Director leads VinFast US’s financial services strategy and execution across the dealer network and customer base. This includes oversight of retail and lease financing programs, dealer floorplan support, F&I product strategy, and partnerships with banks, captives, and vendors. The role is central to ensuring that financial solutions accelerate vehicle sales, enhance customer experience, and contribute to profitability—while maintaining risk, compliance, and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:
Design and execute loan, lease, floorplan, and ancillary product strategies tailored to VinFast’s customer segments and dealer network.
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with banks, insurers, captives, and F&I vendors to deliver market-competitive solutions.
Support dealer enablement through retail finance tools, floorplan collaboration, and performance analytics.
Lead initiatives that optimize customer finance journeys—both digital and in-store—from application to funding.
Partner cross-functionally with product, sales, marketing, aftersales, legal, and finance teams to align financial offerings with commercial goals.
Contribute to residual value, pricing, and remarketing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Ensure full regulatory compliance with state/federal requirements and manage risk through proactive governance and oversight.
Track and analyze KPIs, including loan/lease penetration, approval rates, APRs, and customer finance satisfaction.
Drive execution of cross-functional projects from planning to launch, ensuring speed, quality, and collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in automotive finance, preferably with an OEM, captive finance company, or major bank.
Deep knowledge of retail auto financing, leasing, floorplan structures, and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to structure and implement F&I product strategies, including warranty, protection, and maintenance products.
Demonstrated success in managing lender, insurer, and vendor relationships—driving outcomes through influence and collaboration.
Experience launching new financial products or supporting start-up or high-growth automotive brands.
Familiarity with EV financing, including federal/state incentives and tax credit implications.
Proficient in DMS systems, CRM platforms, and automotive digital retailing tools.
Strong financial planning and modeling skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage with executive stakeholders, dealers, and partners.
