JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Graduate Student Services for the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences (CECAS) plays a critical leadership role in enhancing the academic experiences of graduate students. This position oversees the development and implementation of innovative graduate student service programs, including leading the community of practice, career development, and student academic initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Non-Essential - Program Management:
Develop, implement, manage, and assess a comprehensive graduate student services program for CECAS that supports retention and academic achievement. Serves as lead of CECAS graduate student services community of practice including disseminating updates, leading meetings and training initiatives. Continuous improvement of graduate student services policies and procedures.
15% - Non-Essential - Event Coordination:
Coordinates graduate student recognition events. Plans and executes graduate student orientation. Plans student support activities such as career planning and professional development. Support recruiting efforts as needed.
15% - Non-Essential - Administrative Support:
Serves as liaison to the Graduate School and college backup for graduate school forms. Leads the administration of the college's fellowships ensuring proper payout. Coordinate with PROMO on website reviews and updates and necessary publications. Co-advise the Graduate Student Advisory Board, to include monthly meetings, coordinating events and travel grants.
15% - Non-Essential - Student Support:
Serve as primary point of contact and advocate for graduate student success within CECAS. Connect students with appropriate resources as needed. Address issues as they arise and triage based on priority. Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify graduate student needs across the college and make improvements to better the graduate student experience.
15% - Non-Essential - Graduate Academic Initiatives:
Develop and manage graduate student initiatives at the direction of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, related to career development, workshops, employer engagement and alumni networking. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of graduate student initiatives through data collection, analysis, and continuous improvement.

Education - 1st Master's Degree

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Pay Range: ($69,800.00 - $90,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
