Position Summary
Vivacity Infrastructure Group is seeking a Director of Information Technology skilled in supporting operational process for telecommunications design-build construction and systems integration project executions. As the Director of IT, you will lead IT strategy, systems architecture and support related to Business Transformation projects. This position is located in Naperville, IL or remote within AL, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VT, WA or WI only.
The Director of IT will primarily be responsible for implementing best practices consistent with business objectives while leading a team that plans, coordinates, manages and executes multiple concurrent, technical and cross-organizational projects/programs for a mid-sized, growing organization. Duties will include overall administration, adherence to timeline, budget, scope, risk, project documentation and management reporting. Roles & Responsibilities
Identifying technology needs and making recommendations to business decision-makers.
Evaluating the company’s adherence to technology requirements for security.
Managing the IT team, including developers (in-house and/or partners) and systems administrators.
Maintaining company hardware and software programs.
Maintaining technological equipment in the company.
Monitoring and analyzing technology and trends that could improve the company’s processes and performance.
Managing IT budget and expenses.
Negotiating project scope and deliverables with third party vendors that support IT infrastructure.
Negotiating project schedule, deliverables and scope with customers and vendors.
Effectively applying best-in-class IT methodologies and standards.
Identifying and evaluating impact of change requests to scope and implementation plan.
Collaborating with business leaders to collect and evaluate relevant data to understand business needs for projects, in order to prepare detailed business requirements and statement of work.
Examining data, processes and systems to drive improvements consistent with corporate goals.
Developing solutions to provide data accuracy and improve management reporting, operational efficiencies, quality assurance and support growth strategies for the organization.
Evaluating and recommending key performance indicators as part of overall quality assurance.
Recommending changes to processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
Supporting safety and human resources reporting requirements.

Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or similar degree required.
Experience
5+ years of leading an IT organization, ideally in the telecommunications, critical infrastructure or construction industries.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Proven experience as an IT Director or similar role
Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
Experience in developing and managing an information technology budget
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong leadership, communication and customer relationship skills
Thorough knowledge of contracting process, including contract terms and conditions, scopes of work and pricing concepts
Detailed understanding of contractual requirements and the contracting process, including terms and conditions to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations
Knowledge of telecommunications and construction industries, including the ability to understand the construction process
Ability to lead meetings with demonstrated excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills
Ability to influence behavior, motivate others and lead by example
Ability to adapt behavior to fit into the culture of a particular organization
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office products, including MS Project and SharePoint
Experience with Sitetracker, Acumatica or other ERP systems as well as other SaaS applications
Physical Requirements
