Position Summary:
The Sharing Center (TSC) is seeking a visionary, results-driven Director of Philanthropy to lead our fundraising strategy during a transformational time in our history. This senior-level leader will be responsible for growing and stewarding a robust portfolio of donors, leading a high-performing development team, and driving philanthropic strategy that advances our mission and fuels future growth.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Philanthropy will have a seat at the decision-making table, ensuring philanthropy is integrated into every aspect of TSC's mission and vision.. This includes oversight of capital campaign initiatives, donor engagement, and brand positioning to elevate TSC as a leader in compassionate care and community impact.
This is a dynamic role that blends strategic leadership, donor relationship management, and community presence. Approximately 50% of the Director’s time will be spent in-office collaborating with staff, preparing donor strategies, and leading the development team. The remaining 50% will involve external engagement—meeting with donors, cultivating corporate and faith-based partners, attending networking events, and representing The Sharing Center in the broader community
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Campaign Leadership & Major Giving Strategy
- Manage a portfolio of 400+ mid- to major-level donors and prospects, implementing moves management and cultivating transformative gifts ranging from $1,000 to $1 million+.
- Partner with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior leaders to engage donors in meaningful ways, including planned giving conversations.
- Secure gifts through personalized donor cultivation and stewardship.
Team Leadership & Strategic Development
- Supervise and develop a high-impact team including a Development Officer, Events Coordinator and Marketing Specialist.
- Build and monitor the Development Department’s strategic plan, annual budget, and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization, positioning philanthropy as central to achieving mission success.
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and COO on revenue growth, donor engagement innovation, and long-term sustainability.
Donor Engagement & Communications
- Oversee donor communications and storytelling initiatives, including the Annual Impact Report, stewardship materials, and planned giving collateral.
- Represent The Sharing Center at key civic, philanthropic, and faith-based events.
Board & Committee Engagement
- Collaborate with the Development Committee and Board of Directors to drive fundraising strategy and engagement.
- Present progress, trends, and recommendations regularly to leadership and board committees.
- Equip and inspire board members to be active ambassadors in philanthropy.
- Lead all aspects of capital campaign planning, execution, and stewardship, including case development, donor identification, solicitation strategies, and donor recognition.

- Lead donor cultivation and recognition events (e.g., Helping Hands Tours, donor receptions, and faith partner events).
- Ensure excellence in donor data tracking and management via CRM platforms (Bloomerang or Salesforce preferred).
Board & Committee Engagement
- Collaborate with the Development Committee and Board of Directors to drive philanthropic strategy and engagement.
- Present fundraising progress, trends, and recommendations regularly to leadership and board committees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., communications, nonprofit management, or business) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in nonprofit development with proven success leading capital campaigns, and securing major gifts.
- Demonstrated ability to close six figure gifts.
- Strong track record of cultivating long-term donor relationships across individual, corporate, foundation, and faith-based partners.
- Experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills—including donor pitches, board presentations, and public speaking.
- Highly organized with project management skills, budget oversight, and data-driven reporting experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000 annually

Work Environment & Requirements:
- This is a full-time role based at our Longwood, FL campus.
- Approximately 50% of time is spent in-office and 50% in the community (donor meetings, networking, and events).
- Evening and weekend work required for select donor events.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
- Walking across campus between program areas is required.
