Our mission is to empower eCommerce retailers to create and manage the world's best online shopping experiences. Powering over 8 billion shipment trackings for over 20,000 global brands like Samsung, GymShark, Mejuri, and TOMS. AfterShip revolutionizes how businesses engage with customers after purchase. We are pioneering AI-driven post-purchase solutions, from smart shipment tracking and returns management to personalized product discovery and AI-powered delivery estimates.

Having secured a $66 million Series B in 2021, we are accelerating our growth and continuing to shape the future of eCommerce.

At AfterShip, we are building a diverse and high-performing culture that encourages collaboration and experimentation on a global scale. Even as a company with over 10 years under our belt and 450 AfterShippers across our 8 global offices, we embrace a dynamic and agile approach to our work.

We operate with a flat team structure, where you will have opportunities to contribute your ideas and take ownership over your work to create meaningful impact for the business and the customers we serve. If you're looking for a vehicle to achieve your professional goals and work alongside fantastic teams, we invite you to join us.

Your Mission:

Our Omnichannel products connect merchants and customers across touchpoints - bridging online and offline, pre- and post-purchase - to create seamless, personalized experiences that drive loyalty and growth.

We are seeking a Director of Product to lead our Omnichannel portfolio - setting the strategic direction, delivering market-leading capabilities, and scaling adoption with measurable impact. This is a high-visibility role for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of vision, execution, and customer impact.

Reporting into the Chief Product Officer, the Director of Product is a part of AfterShip's global Product organization and will manage 5 Product Managers based in APAC. Flexibility is key - occasional meetings outside typical business hours are expected, with advance notice provided.

What You'll Do

  • Set Strategic Vision & Lead the Team: Define long-term product vision, portfolio strategy, and multi-year roadmap for AfterShip's Omnichannel products. Lead and mentor 4–5 Product Managers, fostering ownership, collaboration, and excellence while empowering teams with autonomy and holding them accountable for outcomes.
  • Drive the Product Lifecycle: Oversee products from strategic planning and discovery through launch and ongoing optimization, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Achieve and Scale Product-Market Fit: Identify target customer segments, engage directly with users, validate solutions, and capitalize on new opportunities to drive global adoption and growth.
  • Champion a User-Centric, Data-Driven Approach: Leverage customer research, market trends, competitive insights, and experimentation to guide strategic prioritization. Establish and own key product KPIs, tracking performance against goals and using insights to drive continuous improvement and business impact.
  • Deliver Through Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with engineering, design, product marketing, and GTM teams to translate strategy into execution and ensure cohesive market delivery.
  • Act as a Strategic Thought Leader: Represent AfterShip with customers, partners, and at industry events.
  • Contribute to Product Excellence & Best Practices: Partner with the CPO to establish product management standards and methodologies, helping to elevate the performance of the broader product organization and strengthen AfterShip's overall product culture and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above, with relevant majors preferred.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years leading PM teams in SaaS or eCommerce.
  • Proven track record of defining product vision and roadmaps, achieving product-market fit, and scaling products to mass adoption.
  • Strong analytical skills combining qualitative insights with quantitative metrics.
  • Exceptional Communication & Influence: Skilled at articulating complex ideas and driving alignment across all levels.
  • Adaptable: Thrives in fast-paced, innovative, hyper-growth environments.

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience in e-commerce SaaS.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Experience building products for international markets.

You'll be a great fit if you…

  • Are a visionary storyteller who inspires teams and customers with compelling product vision.
  • Maintain high standards for product quality, usability, and design polish.
  • Thrive on rapid iteration, testing, and learning.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions, geographies, and time zones.
  • Are curious, open to feedback, and willing to challenge assumptions.

At AfterShip, we understand that not all applicants will have skills that match the job description exactly. We value diverse experiences and respect that experience comes in many different forms, so even if you feel you may not meet every qualification to a T then we still encourage you to apply. We are always looking for people who can help us continue to raise the bar for our team and who want to join us on our mission.
