Role Summary

Working remotely from the US or Canada, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Web and Creative to lead the transformation of our company’s digital presence—starting with the design and execution of a high-performance, brand-defining website. This role sits at the intersection of web development, visual design, video storytelling, and digital brand strategy, serving a global B2B enterprise SaaS company with three distinct product lines.

You will play both a strategic and hands-on role in reshaping our digital brand, building a new website from the ground up, and crafting multimedia content that conveys innovation, authority, and buyer confidence. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and may evolve into a leadership role with direct reports. Initially, you’ll act as a highly capable individual contributor and lead external and internal collaborators as needed.


Key Responsibilities


Website Strategy, Design & Implementation (~55%)

  • Design, build, and launch a modern, multilingual WordPress website from the ground up that reflects the brand values and product differentiation of a leading B2B SaaS provider.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise with WordPress—including themes, templates, blocks, and custom components—with the ability to architect a site that not only performs flawlessly across devices (of course with mobile responsiveness and support for all major browser experiences) but also exudes innovation, reinforces brand confidence, and clearly communicates product differentiation and value. The ideal candidate combines front-end mastery with thoughtful UX strategy to deliver an experience that impresses visitors and telegraphs our leadership—not just in software, but in how we present ourselves and brand online. Just as importantly, they must structure the site CMS to empower our non-technical marketing team to easily update pages, site navigation, post content (pages, blogs, etc.), and manage day-to-day basic site maintenance without developer support.
  • Integrate complex visual assets including dynamic SVG animations (for example with GSAP and/or Lottie tech), embedded videos, and interactive UI elements.
  • Execute full front-end development in HTML, CSS, JavaScript with accessibility, SEO, and optimization for mobile (and other form factors and browsers) best practices in mind.
  • Migrate legacy content from a separate site and microsites into the new consolidated website, and to the extent possible, without disrupting ongoing lead generation or SEO performance.
  • As needed, implement integrations with HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Google Tag Manager, GA4, and other marketing and sales technology while ensuring fast-loading overall site performance.
  • Own evaluation and selection of web hosting infrastructure including selection of the hosting vendor/tech, implementation of a CDN, website security measures (in collaboration with Experlogix IT security), and the performance and security of the WordPress stack including its plugins and database tables and any other third party add-ons implemented as part of our website experience.
  • Own and execute the company’s end-to-end SEO strategy, ensuring the website is technically optimized for site performance, fast loading, crawlability, mobile responsiveness, and structured data. Define and manage a keyword selection strategy that aligns with buyer intent and product differentiation, and drive on-page SEO excellence through meta content, internal linking, schema markup, and page structure. Lead efforts in back-link acquisition, SEO health monitoring, and competitive analysis—adhering to evolving B2B software SEO best practices to maximize discoverability and inbound lead generation.
  • Lend creative web design suggestions and hands-on assistance for our sales team’s use of sendTrumpet digital sales room sites as requested to ensure pipeline conversions and a brand experience across all digital interactions.

Brand & Creative Design (~20%)

  • Lead the execution of cohesive creative work across digital touchpoints: infographics, whitepapers, case studies, pitch decks, event materials, ads, and web visuals.
  • Evolve and own visual brand identity standards; maintain consistency across all internal and external collateral.
  • Deliver assets that project brand confidence, innovation, and “approachable professionalism” to prospective enterprise buyers, industry analysts, partners, team members, and other stakeholders. Videography & Post-Production (~15%)

  • Lead all aspects of on-location and live-subject video production, including camera operation, lighting setup, audio capture, and subject direction.
  • Manage full post-production process using tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition to deliver:
    • Customer testimonials
    • Product demos
    • Conference and training videos
    • Executive messages and brand videos
  • Produce broadcast-quality content with polished storytelling, tight editing, high-quality audio mastering, and visual branding integration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (~10%)

  • Serve as the lead creative stakeholder working with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Collaborate with freelance designers, developers, and video professionals to scale production as needed.
  • Coordinate vendor and agency relationships for specific projects (e.g., translation/localization, animation, specialized development).

Note: This position does not include direct reports at the outset but will collaborate with and direct cross-functional and external resources. Leadership responsibilities may grow as the team and scope evolve. The balance of duties and responsibilities listed above will shift from heavy web to other marketing content and video after the main website re-launch.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 9+ years of professional experience in creative roles, with proven success in B2B SaaS or tech-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise building WordPress websites from scratch, customizing templates and themes, and launching full-featured, enterprise-level digital properties. Resulting website will have CMS access for the company’s non-tech page editors. Provide training and enablement for those users.
  • Maintain a portfolio of live or archived websites you’ve built and customized for B2B technology companies, with functional examples (including Wayback Machine archive links if needed).
  • Ability to present a portfolio with live website examples or archived projects demonstrating hands-on development and design work.
  • Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, accessibility compliance, and performance optimization. For higher-end interaction with web visitors on an ROI-calculator or Value-calculator page or more innovate integrations with our product demo environments or mar-tech stack, the candidate should be familiar with PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, AI & Chatbots, GraphQL, and Figma.
  • Hands-on experience in full-cycle video production, from pre-production to on-site shoots and final editing.
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, and Audition. Needs to stay current in varied AI video and content generation tools.
  • Experience building multi-lingual websites and incorporating international UX/UX localization principles. Experience with WPML, Polylang and DeepL.
  • Strong experience with SEO, content strategy, and digital storytelling in the context of B2B lead generation, form-fill conversion, and CTA practices.
  • Proven ability to perform all the above as a hands-on individual contributor, but also capable of managing vendors, freelancers, and stakeholders with clarity and purpose in a remote-first environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern front-end web frameworks (React, Next.js) or headless CMS architectures.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced design workflows and personalization engines.
  • Background in B2B buyer enablement or ABM-aligned web experiences.
