Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Support banquet operations by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in the organization of storage areas for clean dishes and kitchen supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or catering is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks including bussing tables and serving when needed.
