DMV Title Clerk
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, Full-time
Wage: $20-26/hour, depending on experience

Summary:
As a DMV Title Clerk you will be responsible for processing titles, licensing, and associated documentation related to these processes while complying with state and federal regulations.
Job Description
- Licensing for new vehicles & used vehicles
- Filing deal jackets and dealer trades
- Write checks to accompany each license transaction
- Follow up with any licensing transaction issues
- Post wholesale deals in Dealertrack DMS when needed
- Prepare title for wholesale buyer
- File for lost titles on trade in vehicles when required
- Assign stock number
- Verify title documents
- Payoff Lien holder when required with check or online payments
- Write checks to customers for purchases
- Receipt funds if customer owes balance for purchase
- Post documents in Dealer Track
- Maintaining license plate distribution for returning clients
- Processing vehicle registrations
- Conducting transactions related to vehicle registration and renewal
- Paying licensing fees
- Obtaining dealer titles from auction
- Maintaining proper records of vehicle registration
- Assist customers with title and registration questions and concerns
- Timely filing of necessary documents
- Comply with all state and federal regulations
- Assist with all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of Title Clerk experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume dealership preferred
- Experience with Dealertrack
- Sense of urgency with time sensitive tasks
- High degree of professionalism
- Customer service focused
- Positive and friendly demeanor
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to promptly follow-up on tasks and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
