Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dock Associate to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate is forklift certified and has hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading freight. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the warehouse and dock area.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Inspect and document all freight, reporting discrepancies or damages.
- Prepare shipments by labeling, wrapping, and staging pallets for dispatch.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe dock and staging areas.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
- Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure timely processing of shipments.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Experience working with common carriers and LTL freight.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual (English, Spanish)
