We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and well-being of our furry clients. This position requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to handle pets with care and respect. Responsibilities
- Provide bathing and grooming services for dogs and other pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Use appropriate bathing techniques and products tailored to each pet’s specific needs.
- Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including washing towels, cleaning equipment, and ensuring all tools are sanitized.
- Assist in drying and brushing pets after baths, paying attention to their grooming needs.
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s grooming needs and any observations made during the bathing process.
- Support other team members with animal handling as needed, including assisting with pet restraint during grooming.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet care or grooming is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is beneficial.
- Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general animal care are highly valued.
- A background in veterinary assistance or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with both pets and their owners.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
