We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Canine Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and handling, with experience in dog training and veterinary support. This role involves working closely with dogs in various capacities, ensuring their well-being and safety while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, socialization and exercise.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all animals in the facility.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors.
- Support in the management of kennel operations, ensuring all animals are accounted for and cared for properly.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for larger breeds or equipment.
- Document any behavioral or health issues observed during handling.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically manage dogs of various sizes.
- Previous experience in a kennel environment is preferred but not mandatory.
