Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy.
- Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide a receipt.
- Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
- Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
- Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
- Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
- Must secure and lock the Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
- Must have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
- Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
