Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver/Bag Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely, moving several bags of clothes. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual transmission vehicles.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
- Assist with moving items as needed, demonstrating physical capability for heavy lifting tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Proven experience in route driving and customer service roles.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record-keeping purposes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Previous experience in moving or logistics is advantageous but not required.
