Job Description:
Seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide care and support to disabled adults in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities and foster a safe and supportive environment. An active group home of six residents who have busy schedules need your help to be part of the community and complete their daily routines including house cleaning, cooking, transportation to appointments and day programs, personal hygiene and general day-to-day activities. Starting at $18.50 an hour with a $1 an hour weekend shift differential

Job Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
License/Age: Valid Maine Driver’s License & Insurance and be at least 18 years of age
Pre-work: Pass a background check (criminal, CPS & APS) and 3 + year driving record review Training: Complete paid training at our location in Bath Maine and continue required trainings as needed
Location: Have reliable transportation to work shifts in person in Topsham Maine
Additional candidate qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, direct support is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Comfortable doing personal care / hygiene / transportation and housekeeping
- Must be able to effectively communicate (written and oral) with medical professionals, guardians, co-workers and residents.
- Empathy towards those in care
