Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preschool, daycare, or childcare settings and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for developing age-appropriate activities, fostering social skills, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support children with special needs or disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom.
- Provide first aid when necessary and maintain a safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in preschool, childcare, or daycare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Experience working with toddlers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment tailored to individual children's needs.
- A nurturing attitude towards children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- A C.D.A credential in Preschool or Infant/Toddler at minimum or a College Degree with a major of Child Development is required. Both we require a minimum of at least 3 years of verifiable experience.
- Applicant must pass a background exam.
- A required physical must be completed.
