About the Role:
Ashland Childcare Center is looking for a nurturing, detail-oriented Early Childhood Educator to support our Infant/Toddler classroom. In this role, you’ll help care for our youngest learners—ages 6 weeks to 24 months—providing a safe, responsive, and loving environment.
You’ll play a vital role in fostering early bonding, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate developmental support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide warm, responsive care in feeding, diapering, and soothing routines
- Develop engaging activities that promote sensory and motor development
- Communicate daily with families about routines and milestones
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of classroom environment
- Monitor infant/toddler growth and document observations
- Follow all licensing, safety, and health protocols
- Participate in training and collaborate with fellow staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of infant/toddler care experience in a licensed setting
- Must pass background checks and health screenings
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Patience, reliability, and a strong understanding of early development
