We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pallet Jack Operator to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in materials handling, ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Pallet Jack Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of operations while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to load and unload products.
- Safely transport materials throughout the warehouse and distribution center.
- Assist in organizing inventory and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Experience operating forklifts or cherry pickers is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
