Role Overview and Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Tests and troubleshoots electronic power supplies in various stages of production with minimum supervision.
Essential Functions
- Performs test operations in accordance with test procedures, schematic diagrams, engineering sketches and/or verbal instructions.
- Operates various types of test equipment such as VOM, Oscilloscope, chart recorder, vibration machine, data logger and power sources.
- Performs mathematical calculations as necessary to develop data relative to basic electronic circuits.
- Prepares and maintains test reports and records as necessary to satisfy company and customer’s requirements and to certify product conformance to specifications.
- Supports the production and engineering with failure identification and analysis of production hardware.
- Writes failure analysis reports for returned units prior to shipping them back to the customer.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Experience & Education
- 2 year degree in electronics or equivalent trade school certification
- Minimum of 2 years electronic manufacturing test and repair experience, military power supplies related experience preferred
- Knowledge of industrial power electronics.
