Job Overview: To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary school classroom that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
· Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities.
· Create a positive educational climate for students.
· Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
· Create standard based lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year. Upload lesson plans to Atlas.
· Maintain grade books in Power School that are updated regularly.
· Manage student behavior in the classroom by implementing approved disciplinary procedures.
· Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
· Assist with coverage of other classes as needed.
· Assist with arrivals and dismissal of students.
· Communicate with parents/guardians.
· Collaborate with other colleagues.
· Selects books, instructional aids and supplies that aid in the teaching of the curriculum.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
· One or more years of teaching experience.
· Communication skills and interpersonal skills preferred.
· PA Certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,986.00 - $85,480.00 per year
