Job Description
Job title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary: As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing rapid and optimal patient care in emergency situations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to assess, prioritize, and treat patients in need of immediate medical attention.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triage and assess patients upon arrival in the emergency room
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patients' condition and response to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on their condition and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency nursing practices
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
