Emergency Technician at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour Night shifts.

The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course or Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD).
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training - Basis EKG course
  • Coursework/Training - California Emergency Medical Technician License or,
  • Coursework/Training - California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or,
  • Coursework/Training - California Paramedic License.
  • Emergency Medical Technician License upon hire or,
  • Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License upon hire or,
  • Paramedic License upon hire.
  • 1 year - EMT experience.
  • 1 year - Emergency Department experience.
