Employee Relations Specialist

Essential Job Functions
- Provides consultation, support and guidance to Managers and HR Business Partners in assigned areas.
- Manages performance or conduct issues in accordance with employment policies and practices.
- Conducts investigations of employee complaints and disputes within company policy; ensures appropriate documentation of findings and recommends corrective action and/or appropriate resolution.
- Provide training and coaching to managers on best practices for employee relations, disciplinary procedures and compliance with internal policies.
- Collaborates with management to identify, develop and implement employee relations strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Proactively provides consultation to identify and mitigate risks related to organization changes.
- Demonstrated credibility as a trusted advisor to leaders; effective relationship skills; ability to engage with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Ability to influence outcomes.
- Highly developed communication skills including effective writing style, presentation development, listening and ability to articulate a point of view clearly and persuasively.
- Strong knowledge of HR Policies, practices and processes and the ability develop and implement policy.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an HR or business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.
- Demonstrated organization skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; ability to quickly learn new technology, such as case management and HR systems.
