The Engagement Specialist builds community and culture at The Tot Spot by partnering with our staff to plan fun, meaningful activities for families, staff, and the local community. This role focuses on connection, celebration, and positivity — creating events that foster belonging and strengthen relationships. As the heartbeat of our center’s culture, you’ll bring creativity, organization, and energy to parent engagement and staff morale.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and coordinate family and community events (e.g., Meet the Teachers, Family Nights, Grandparents Day).
- Lead Teacher Appreciation Week and manage the Sunshine Committee budget.
- Manage event calendars, registrations, and feedback.
- Support family engagement through newsletters, social media, engagement boards, and staff communication.
- Operate fun initiatives like the T-shirt shop to connect families and staff.
- Partner with directors to support classroom transitions, ensuring children and families feel comfortable and informed.
- Build partnerships with parents, teachers, and community resources.
- Track family engagement, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions to enhance the center’s culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in event planning, childcare, customer service, or community engagement preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Creative, positive, and child-focused mindset. - Friendly, professional communicator who thrives in a people-focused role.
- Ability to collaborate with directors, teachers, and admin staff.
Pay & Schedule
- Salary: $36,000 – $44,500 annually
- Schedule: Primarily weekday hours with occasional evenings/weekends for events
