Ad-Hoc Remote Bankruptcy Lawyer
The Oracle Legal Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bankruptcy Lawyer for an ad-hoc, remote position. Based in Houston, this role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who can manage a fluctuating workload and provide specialized legal support as needed.

Role and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our team on a project-by-project basis, handling a range of bankruptcy matters. This includes:
- Advising and representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings (e.g., Chapter 7, 11, and 13).
- Drafting and filing bankruptcy petitions, motions, schedules, and other court documents.
- Conducting legal research and analysis related to U.S. Bankruptcy Code and federal court procedures.
- Negotiating with creditors, trustees, and opposing counsel.
- Managing a caseload with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a bankruptcy attorney, with a strong understanding of both creditor and debtor representation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with bankruptcy filing software and court electronic systems (e.g., PACER, CM/ECF).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Location:
This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be based in the Houston area to facilitate occasional in-person meetings or court appearances if necessary.
