Under the Switchgear Engineer’s supervision, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn the fundamentals on how our custom products are manufactured here at DVM. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Assist engineers in design and planning of drawing sets for production. Learn aspects of the design phases to produce electrical switchgear hardware in our in-house production facilities.
- Organize AutoCAD drawings used by manufacturing/production teams in the creation of products in the DVM Engineering library
- Assist in the planning, logging parts and materials designated for product build.
- Understands and interprets schematics and drawings to determine part measurements.
- Assist in developing processes to improve quality and efficiency of the documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Engineering.

Education Requirements and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program at a 4-year college.
- Preferably has a focus in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with 3D design is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and related software. Experience with Solid Edge a plus.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.

Physical Requirements:
- The work environment is a typical office environment, with quiet to moderate noise level, and traditional lighting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Must be able to travel between DVM locations as needed, some travel could require overnight stays.
