We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Writing Contest Coach to guide students in preparing for local, national, and international writing competitions. The coach will help students refine their creative and academic writing skills, develop strong narratives, and master the art of impactful expression.
Responsibilities:
- Coach students in various writing styles, including creative, persuasive, narrative, and expository writing
- Provide feedback on drafts to improve structure, clarity, grammar, and style
- Introduce strategies for brainstorming, planning, and revising
- Prepare students for specific contest formats and requirements
- Inspire confidence and creativity in young writers
Qualifications:
- Strong background in English, literature, or creative writing
- Prior experience in teaching, coaching, or contest preparation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with major student writing competitions preferred
Schedule: Flexible; after-school or weekend sessions.
Location: In-person or online coaching available.
