Assembly and Instrumentation Technician - Entry Level
PPS has been a local and family-owned manufacturing business since 1972. To continue our growth, PPS is looking to increase our labor force to keep up with production demands from the sales of our increasingly popular turn-key pump stations. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable entry-level Assembly and Instrumentation Technician on a part-time basis.
This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in a unique manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to applicants actively pursuing schooling in instrumentation, technical services, welding, or engineering. No prior experience is required but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are a must!
Essential Job Functions:
- Driving to and from various vendors and custom locations to procure materials to assist with production.
- Perform rudimentary shop tasks under the guidance of experienced area leads.
- Learn to use tools and equipment commonly used in assembly and instrumentation.
- Assist with basic fabrication, assembly, and testing of packaged pumping systems.
- Follow safety procedures and adhere to company standards.
- Support team members with various tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to furnish a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Have a strong attention to detail and desire to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
