JOB DESCRIPTION
The Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the environmental compliance programs of our organization. The role will involves assessing and ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international environmental regulations, permits, and standards. The Environmental Compliance Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance strategies, policies, and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in identifying environmental compliance risks, providing guidance, and implementing measures to mitigate those risks. This is a hybrid role.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the VP, Real Estate and EH&S and the existing Environmental Compliance Manager to develop and implement environmental compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and international environmental regulations.
- Conduct environmental compliance audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental compliance considerations into business processes, including design, manufacturing, supply chain, and facilities management.
- Provide guidance and support to operational teams to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental compliance, including permits, reports, and other required documentation.
- Monitor and analyze environmental data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation and submission of environmental reports to regulatory agencies
- Develop and deliver environmental compliance training programs to enhance employee awareness and ensure a culture of compliance.
- Lead environmental incident investigations and root cause analyses to determine the underlying causes of accidents or environmental incidents, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and external stakeholders to stay informed about evolving environmental regulations and best practices. 10%

- QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance management, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, federal, and international environmental regulations, permits, and standards.
- Experience in developing and implementing environmental compliance programs and systems.
- Excellent understanding of environmental auditing, inspections, and reporting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify compliance risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
