We are building an innovative, collaborative team who will help shape the future of care at Med Center Health. The Epic Programmer role will support both the initial implementation and the continued maintenance and optimization of Epic following go-live.

Position Summary
The Epic Programmer designs, develops, and maintains customization of applications and system integrations to enhance Med Center Health’s Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. Working closely with analysts and stakeholders, this role translates requirements into efficient, secure, and reliable solutions that improve workflows, support clinical and operational goals, and ensure seamless data exchange.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with project managers, analysts, and end-users to gather and validate software requirements.
- Designs, codes, and tests software applications and system integrations in accordance with organizational standards and best practices.
- Participates in code reviews, system testing, deployment planning, and documentation efforts.
- Provides ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitors application performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance functionality, efficiency, and security.
- Documents code changes, system configurations, and technical procedures in a clear and organized manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of programming experience in application development or systems integration required; experience in healthcare IT preferred.
- Certification: Epic training and certification will be provided at no cost in exchange for a 2 year work commitment.
