Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely and efficient movement of construction equipment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of customer equipment.
- Create OSOW Routes for drivers
- Manage driver safety using Samsara Fleet
- Communicate with drivers via phone systems to provide instructions and updates.
- Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle locations and status.
- Coordinate with customer logistics teams to optimize delivery operations and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including schedules and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with phone systems and fleet management processes.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
